Defination
Our company is based on international concepts. This document captures the core beliefs, values, principles and spirit that have served us well since our beginning, in order to set the foundation for new generations to grow with strength and competitiveness.
-
Human Resource Policy
We have always believed that people are our most important assets, so let’s start with people.
The four critical elements to consider in recruiting are:
• Ethics
• Hard work
• Logic
• Learning
We must have strong people with good character. We may have an employee with excellent ability, but if he/she exhibits characteristics such as bad attitude, or inability to get along with others, etc., we will inevitably be faced with the future painful decision of terminating this employee. Otherwise, he/she will destroy our company.
We will never tolerate internal politics, such as someone trying to take advantage of someone else’s contribution. Any type of leveraging or deliberate harming of another for personal gain does not have a place in our company. The “GOLDEN RULE” is that we must treat people as we want to be treated - fairly and with open-mindedness.
We must provide our employees a working environment filled with fulfillment and growth opportunities. We encourage our employees to think innovatively, and to carry out their responsibilities with passion, courage and commitment. Our company culture allows mistakes that we can learn and improve from; however, we do not tolerate any irresponsible behaviors such as carelessness and indolence. We should carefully and logically plan and guide every employee’s career path, and enable them to perform to their utmost potential; and his should be a consistent and on-going process. We should never grant promotions or assign responsibilities that are beyond one’s potential, as this will only lead to unsatisfactory results.
Never withhold promotions, rewards, or recognition of performance for reason of age, sex, religion, or racial origin. On the other hand, we should be firm to refuse any advancement through compromise or negotiation which would create unfairness.
For recruiting, job assignment, and rewarding, we must be fair and open-minded, and we must demand performance.
We must spend time to know our people’s family and introduce our family to them. This mutual friendship and warmth is one of the most valuable aspects of our company culture. Loyalty and commitment spring from loyalty and commitment; therefore, we must nurture and provide these to our people if we are to receive like from them.
We should avoid favoritism and tight exclusive circles, because these will demoralize the people who are left out, including the newcomer.
-
Growth Policy
We reward entrepreneurial spirit, and are willing to explore new and creative business directions and profitability models passionately. In the mean time, we will continue to invest cautiously, and maintain a reasonable asset portfolio that remains flexible for further adjustments.
We should only invest our money if it meets at least one of the following guidelines:
1) Business growth for profitability for today and the future.
2) Long-term strategic planning.
3) Community concern, such as environmental protection, safety, etc.
4) New opportunities for promotion/advancement of our employees.
5) To update our facilities or technology in order to increase our efficiency or long-term savings.
-
Public Relations Policy
Our company will not be able to survive independently, so we need to develop a good relationship with society. However, the scope of our public relations should not be limited to this, and it should broadly cover all our company functions and activities. How we present our image to the outside world will affect the future success of our company.
Our company will aspire to pursue the highest ethical standard possible. We should socialize with the outside world sincerely, but never put ourselves in an embarrassing or compromising position with our vendors, supplies, and customers, etc. We will accept invitations courteously and always take the opportunity to reciprocate the hospitality.
We have built our credibility based on the solid and the real. We will conduct business with all companies regardless of their size, without feeling intimidated or too proud, focusing instead on the business of the company.
We must always be fair and give opportunities, as we would expect for ourselves especially in purchasing, sales or services, to those who have never done businesses with us before. We will give them an equal chance to get to know us, and through our operations, teach them to understand and accept our standards. Likewise, we should learn and improve our standards through interactions with the outside world.
When we are accused of making a mistake, and if we are at fault, we should carefully and openly admit it, and take corrective action promptly. If we are not at fault, we should be brave and stand firm with denial. This should be applicable outside as well as internally.
When it comes to the credibility of our service and/or product, we should provide the best we can, and we must deliver what we say we will. We want to be consistent and reliable. The treatment of our competitors must always be handled with integrity and professionalism. We should never “bad mouth” or criticize our competition.
Investment in various countries must be done wisely and safely with built-in mechanisms to protect our interest. We should always do so with good will and by contributing to their local economy. We should not take advantage of the local environment and/or people.
We should support and participate in our local community’s political and charitable affairs, offering our services to help solve local problems, as well as maintain our company’s image. We should be viewed as good citizens, individually as well as collectively.
Finally, these Statements of Policy will only give us conceptual ideas, but they will be our guidelines for setting up the policy details. Whenever confusion or dilemma for decision-making occurs, these guidelines will help you. You should always be prepared to justify your decisions according to these guidelines.
